    Iraq and Iran yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding for military cooperation, counter-terrorism and border security. This came in conjunction with a visit by the Iranian deputy foreign minister to Baghdad from Damascus.
    Defense Minister Irfan Mahmoud al-Hayali arrived in Tehran on Saturday at the head of a delegation from his ministry at the invitation of Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hussein Dehqan.
