Parliament votes on the revised budget bill in today's session
The Iraqi Council of Representatives on Monday morning, its regular eighth of the last legislative term of the third parliamentary session to vote on the draft three laws, most notably the amended Federal Budget Law for the fiscal year 2017 and the law of freedom of expression and peaceful assembly and demonstration.
"The agenda of the session includes the vote on the draft federal budget reform bill for the fiscal year 2017 and the law of ratification of the documents of Bucharest conference for the year 2004 attached to the Universal Postal Convention," the press service of the council said in a statement received by the Journal News.
"The table also includes the consideration of the appeals submitted on the validity of the membership of some deputies, and the first reading of the proposed amendment to the First Law of Amnesty No. 27 of 2016."
"Parliament is reading the first reading of a bill to commemorate the sacrifices of the martyrs of the war against an organization calling for the terrorist, speeding up their transactions and taking care of their wounds and the first reading of the Turkmen rights bill," she said.
"The draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Convention on International Safeguards on Mobile Equipment and the Protocol thereto will be read and discussed on matters related to aircraft equipment and declarations supplementary to its accession to the Republic of Iraq," the Information Service of the Council said.
The agenda concludes with a general discussion on the return of displaced persons to their areas.
The House of Representatives raised its seventh session held last Saturday, to Monday.
