North Korea said on Thursday plans for a missile strike near the US Pacific island of Guam could be ready soon as a war of words escalated between Pyongyang and Washington.
North Korea's state media said the Huasong-12 missiles would be launched over Japan's territory and fall into the sea, 30 kilometers from Guam Island, if leader Kim Jong-un agreed to the plan.
North Korea has rejected threats by US President Donald Trump to "fire and anger" and said Trump was "out of touch."
Washington has warned North Korea that its moves could lead to "the end of the ruling regime.
