China's corporate tax shrank by $ 241 billion

    10:17 - 19/08/2017

China trimmed the corporate tax burden by 1.61 trillion yuan ($ 241.36 billion) by shifting from corporate tax to VAT.

According to Reuters, in May 2016 China expanded its value-added tax system to all sectors in the biggest reform of its tax system in three decades, providing a turnover of 574 billion yuan last year.

The Chinese cabinet pointed out that the government will address in the future the problems of the new tax system, including fiscal policies in the sectors of manufacturing, financial services and construction.

The Council of Ministers has issued guidelines to regulate overseas investment as Beijing seeks to support companies capable of investing abroad while limiting deals in real estate, hotels, leisure, sports clubs and film industries.

Mergers and acquisitions by Chinese companies in countries that are part of the belt and road initiative are increasing even as Beijing is cracking down on Chinese giants taking acquisitions to curb outflows.

The total number of Chinese acquisitions in 68 countries officially linked to the road and road initiative, foreign policy, which was associated with the name of President Shi Jin Ping, reached 33 billion dollars, exceeding the figure of 2016 billion dollars.

The road and road project announced in 2013 aims to build a modern "Silk Road" linking China by land and sea to Southeast Asia, Pakistan, Central Asia and beyond to the Middle East, Europe and Africa. Ending / 25
