Russian defense: the destruction of the last two chemical sites in Syria

The commander of the Radiological, Chemical and Biological Weapons Protection Forces, Major General Igor Kirilov, confirmed that the last two chemical sites in Syria were destroyed on Friday, 25 August, as part of the OPCW process.
"The last two sites, previously under the control of the militants, were destroyed after their liberation in August and were being inspected by the Radiological, Chemical and Biological Weapons Protection Forces and later opened to experts from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW)," Kirilov told reporters.
It is noteworthy that the Russian Foreign Ministry, said that Moscow believes that the goal of US statements on the use of Damascus chemical weapons is to increase the level of interference in internal Syrian affairs.
