    The work of the League of Arab States at the level of permanent representatives will start on Sunday, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, to prepare for the work of the 148th Ordinary Session of the Foreign Ministers next Tuesday under the chairmanship of Djibouti.     The draft agenda of the 148 th Session of the Council of the League of Arab States, to be submitted by the Permanent Delegates to the Ministers for Foreign Affairs, contains 27 items, including the report of the Secretary General of the Arab League on the activities of the Secretariat and the procedures for implementing the Council's decisions between the two sessions (147-148) Implementation of decisions and commitments on follow-up to the implementation of the Amman 2017 Summit resolutions .
     
    The items also include the Palestinian issue, the Arab-Israeli conflict, developments in Syria, Libya and Yemen, and Iran's control of the three Arab islands (Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb and Abu Musa) of the United Arab Emirates in the Arabian Gulf .
    The draft agenda also includes a unified Arab stance on the violation of Iraqi sovereignty by the Turkish forces, support for peace and development in the Republic of Sudan, support for the Somali Federal Republic, support for the Comoros, peaceful solution of the Eritrean-Djibouti conflict, support for internally displaced persons in Arab countries and displaced Iraqis.     The items also include support for the kidnapped Yazidis by terrorist gangs, the dangers of Israeli armament on Arab national security and peace, the Committee of Wise Persons on arms control and non-proliferation issues, international terrorism and ways to combat it .
    The draft agenda of the Council also includes items on the Swiss Confederation's request to adopt its Ambassador in Cairo as Commissioner to the League of Arab States, establishing a consultative framework between the Council of the League of Arab States and the United Nations Security Council, nominations for the United Nations and its specialized agencies and other international organizations and institutions, .
    The items also include public information, legal affairs and human rights, as well as administrative and financial matters .
    A number of ministerial meetings will be held on the sidelines of the new session of the Council of the League, including the first session of the Ministerial Meeting of the Arab-Japanese Political Dialogue on Monday evening with the participation of Arab foreign ministers and the Foreign Minister of Japan.
