Iran's foreign ministry spokesman, Bahram Qasimi, said Tuesday that Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir was "self-delusional."

"I think he is suffering from recurring narcissism, and he may be repeating the name of Iran unconsciously," Qassimi told a weekly news conference in response to comments by Al-Jubeir on Iran.

Al-Jubeir told reporters in London: "We do not see any seriousness from Iran in the dialogue ... and al-Qaeda leaders in Tehran gave orders to carry out attacks against Saudi Arabia."

"Iran is destabilizing the region through Hezbollah and terrorist attacks, and Tehran must stop terrorism and interference if it wants to improve its relationship with Saudi Arabia," he said.
