[ltr]Thirty-seven people have died and 40 more missing after floods and landslides swept north and central Vietnam, disaster management officials said Thursday.[/ltr]
[ltr]The Minister of Disaster Management said the deaths were recorded in six provinces, noting that heavy rains fell on large areas of the country during the week.[/ltr]
[ltr]He confirmed that the province of Hua Binh, northern Vietnam, recorded the worst damage with the killing of 11 people and the loss of 21 others,[/ltr]
[ltr]"We are mobilizing all our strength to search for the missing," an official in the province told AFP[/ltr]
