     Follow-up / Sky Press:

The US State Department has approved a $ 1.1 billion deal to support the US $ 1.1 billion F-15 fighter jet fighter aircraft manufactured by Boeing, according to Al Jazeera Net.

The Pentagon's Defense Security Cooperation Agency said it had "informed Congress of a potential deal involving design and construction, including the development of cyber security, protection, support and other related services."

"Qatar is an important force for political stability and economic growth in the Gulf region," the Pentagon said in a statement, referring to its strong ties with the Qatari Emiri Air Force.

In June, US Defense Secretary James Matisse and Qatari Minister of State for Defense Khaled Al-Attiyah signed an agreement to buy Qatar F-15 fighter jets in a deal valued at $ 12 billion, including 72 fighters. Negotiations have been underway since November 2016. Qatar To bolster its technical capacity and enhance security cooperation and joint action between Washington and Doha.

It should be noted that the approval of the US State Department came at a time when the Gulf crisis between Qatar and the embargo countries continued, and US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson blamed those countries for the continuation of the crisis with Doha.

The US official said in an interview with Bloomberg last month that those who described the leaders of the four-party alliance (Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt) would decide to participate in dialogue to resolve the Gulf crisis, stressing that Qatar was clear and expressed its desire for dialogue.
