    [ltr]Oil prices held steady below two-year highs on Thursday, supported by production cuts by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and other major producers, including Russia.[/ltr]
    [ltr]By 0840 GMT, the price of global benchmark crude settled at $ 63.49 a barrel. On Tuesday, Brent hit its highest level since June 2015 at $ 64.65 a barrel.[/ltr]
    [ltr]West Texas Intermediate crude settled at $ 56.81 a barrel, near a two-year high of $ 57.69 a barrel this week.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Traders say the surge in prices, which has risen by more than 40 percent since July, may have reached a range due to increased US supplies and some signs of slowing demand.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Prices continue to receive support from OPEC-led efforts to curb supplies to narrow the gap between market supply and demand and price support.[/ltr]

    [ltr]US crude oil production rose 67,000 bpd to 9.62 million barrels, the highest level ever[/ltr]
