[ltr]"I did not find in the draft budget a deduction of 20 percent of salaries," the source, a senior adviser to the prime minister, who declined to be named, told Mawazine News on Sunday. "They are fabricating these rumors to confuse the atmosphere."[/ltr]
[ltr]He also denied the existence of a debate between the Iraqi government and the World Bank in this direction, noting that "these statements are based on speculation and there is no such deduction."[/ltr]

[ltr]She told Mawazine News that we call for "the accuracy of the transfer of financial information to citizens, denying the receipt of the draft budget for 2018, including the reduction of salaries of employees by 20%.[/ltr]
[ltr]Tamimi stressed that "those who seek political work, especially in the legislative aspect should be careful and careful in the transfer of information to the citizens, indicating that it had earlier confirmed that the House of Representatives received the budget draft 2018."[/ltr]
[ltr]Tamimi added that "the statement by a member of the Finance Committee to the media to reduce the salaries of employees to 20% is a disgrace for health and adversely affect the feelings of employees," indicating that "those who declare these things to attend the meetings of Parliament and the meeting of the Committee of Finance."[/ltr]
[ltr]Tamimi, referring to her colleague in the committee Massoud Haider, who said that the Council of Ministers will reduce the salaries of state employees by 20% in the budget next year.[/ltr]
[ltr]Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, on Tuesday, dismissed rumors of a 20% reduction in the salaries of employees, describing it as an open lie.[/ltr]
[ltr]"The corrupt people disagree, but they agree on corruption," Abbadi said at a press conference held today. "Rumors of a 20 percent reduction in salaries of employees are a blatant lie."[/ltr]
[ltr]"The Council of Ministers does not have this agenda and has not discussed it at all," Abbadi said, adding that "we are committed to pay the salaries of our citizens in the region, but properly and correctly."[/ltr]
[ltr]"The payment of money to an unknown party and we do not know where the money goes, this can not happen," he said. "We want money to go to the right employee."[/ltr]
[ltr]The Secretariat of the Council of Ministers denied on Tuesday the statement of member of the Finance Committee MP Masoud Haider on the government's intention to reduce the salaries of employees in the budget of 2018 by 20 percent, describing it as "lies"[/ltr]
[ltr]A member of the Finance Committee parliamentary, Massoud Haider, Saturday, the federal government is determined to reduce the salaries of employees in the federal budget 2018 by 20%, referring to "the insistence of the World Bank to convert those deductions to the item of goods and services," as he put it.[/ltr]
[ltr]"The government is determined to reduce the salaries of employees in the general budget for next year by 20 percent," he said in a press statement. "The government is responding to the conditions of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which provides an amount equivalent to 7 trillion Iraqi dinars annually, , According to the agency quoted "Nina" news.[/ltr]
[ltr]He explained that "representatives of the government met with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank to discuss the federal budget, where the two institutions insisted categorically on the reduction of seven trillion dinars, of salaries of employees specifically, equivalent to 20% of the total salaries of the Iraqi state.[/ltr]
[ltr]He added that the representatives of the government "tried to negotiate to persuade them to reduce this figure to two or three trillion dinars, which means that the reduction order is almost settled because of the pressures of the international financial institutions," stressing that "the meeting concluded with the World Bank's refusal and his insistence on the full deduction of salaries from all Iraq, as well as insisted on the conversion of 7 trillion dinars of salaries of employees to the door of goods and services, "describing this section as" services that the citizen did not see anything for years, which is usually a door to corruption in all its forms.
