    [ltr]The dollar fell against a basket of major currencies Monday, amid a state of caution ahead of a vote in the US Congress on tax reform after the bill moved another step towards its adoption early next week.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The US currency rose after the Republicans on the Senate negotiating committee on Friday finalized a comprehensive tax reform that includes a significant reduction in corporate taxes.[/ltr]
    [ltr]But it fell on Monday on some uncertainty over whether or not the bill would pass, and with some doubts about the impact on growth that tax reforms would have.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Against a major basket of currencies, the dollar fell 0.2 percent to 93.800.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The euro benefited from the dollar's slide, rising 0.25 percent to $ 1.1777.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The US currency was steady against its Japanese counterpart at 112.70 yen after rising 0.2 percent on Friday.[/ltr]
