    Gold prices fell on Monday, after the dollar rose on expectations of further
     increases in the US interest rate this year.
    Spot gold fell 0.1 percent to $ 1317.60 an ounce by 0711 GMT. Last week, gold touched its highest level since September 15 at $ 1325.86.
    Gold gained last week's gains for a fourth week in a row.
    US gold futures fell 0.3 percent on Monday to $ 1318.80 an ounce.
    The dollar index rose 0.2 percent to 92.155 on Monday, climbing from its lowest level since September 20 at 91.751 on January 2.
    The spot price of silver fell 0.6 percent to $ 17.12 an ounce after hitting a one and a half month high on Friday at $ 17.29.
    Platinum fell 0.3 percent to $ 966.50 an ounce after hitting a three-and-a-half-month high of $ 970.5 earlier in the session.
    Palladium rose 0.5 percent to $ 1,096 an ounce. The metal hit a record high of $ 1105.70 last week.
