    Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi said that salaries of employees of the Kurdistan region will be paid after reviewing and checking the lists of the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Regional Government. "We are still following the issue of the salaries of Kurdistan region employees. So that we can spend it. " 

    Abadi said during his weekly conference held at the government palace in Baghdad and attended by a group of journalists, "We continue to discuss and discuss the issue of salaries of citizens, we did not have any information about employees, either their numbers or salaries, but the region declared that it works on the system of biometric, But it also requires real scrutiny by us, and whether these numbers actually exist, because there is a great disparity between the numbers we have and they have. " 

    "We have begun to investigate some segments such as teachers and security forces and once we finish, we will begin to pay salaries, and as citizens say in the region there is widespread corruption, and there are people taking several inflated salaries and fake names, so we have to make sure of this." 

    "There is no justification for delaying the elections," Abadi said. 

    He pointed out that "the Council of Ministers decided to merge the provincial elections with the legislative elections at the same time." 

    In a separate context, Abadi said that "the federal government will not stand idly by, in the event of any attack on any citizen in the Kurdistan region." 

    He added that "the office can not be used for electoral purposes," pointing out that "there is no justification for postponing the elections."

    Abadi said, "What is happening in the region is the result of the wrong policy and individuality in the resolution, so we call on the security authorities in the Kurdistan Region to respect the right to peaceful demonstration, they may not be accustomed to that, but in Iraq we have daily demonstrations, and the duty of the security force to protect demonstrators And prevent the encroachment on public and private property, it is not permissible to shoot randomly, and I order the protection of citizens in every part of Iraq, it is the responsibility of the security forces, and reject any policy that leads to the repression of citizens. 

    "We are working to control security in the Kurdistan region. We will not stand by if there is any attack on citizens or a violation of the constitution in the region. We will punish those who attacked, but we will work within a comprehensive security system. The federal government has a duty to protect citizens and protect public property, .
