Agricultural associations declare lack of livestock protection by local governments

The Federation of Agricultural Societies announced the lack of interest in livestock by

local governments, calling for the need to facilitate the work of investors and granting them loans for the implementation of large projects in this vital sector.
Iraq complains of lack of interest in livestock due to the decline of agricultural areas and water scarcity due to lack of water levels from the upstream countries of Turkey and Iran.
The head of the Federation, Haider Abdul Wahid told "Economy News", that the livestock in Iraq is one of the most important joints of the economy, which must have a clear and effective interest, noting that local governments do not care about livestock for unknown reasons.
Abdul Wahid added that some provincial councils do not give importance to the development of livestock, although it is a suitable environment for the growth of livestock.
He called on the president of the Federation of Agricultural Associations, to facilitate the work of investors in the livestock sector through loans that help in the implementation of projects reflected positively on the Iraqi economy and also on the citizen.
