    The parliamentary legal committee dropped the dates proposed by the government to hold elections in the first half of next May and refused to include them in the amendments to the draft election law, leaving the parliament the possibility of setting new dates for the elections to be determined at this weekend's meeting.
    The Federal Court has received two speeches from parliament and the government unilaterally, explaining the constitutionality of the postponement of the elections. The legislative and executive branches are waiting for the judicial response to resolve the debate on the timing of the elections in the House of Representatives. 
    The member of the Legal Committee Zana Said, in an interview with (the extent) yesterday, that "the Legal Committee began to review and study all the proposals reached by the blocks and deputies on the law of elections of the House of Representatives," revealing that "the parliamentary legal meetings today (Tuesday) To agree on fifteen articles of the law. " 
    On Monday, the Legal Committee revealed to Al-Mada that it had received 70 proposed amendments to the law of the House of Representatives elections to be included in the final draft, and considered that the time was not sufficient to complete these proposals.
    Said said that "the parliamentary legal committee was placed with each of the 15 articles that have been completed, a proposal will be resolved in the House of Representatives," noting that "the law of parliamentary elections No. 45 for 2013 in force consists of 48 articles." 
    "The challenges facing us during the discussion of the law are in the form of the electoral system and the conditions of the candidate from age to school certificate," he said. "He said. 
    The member of the Legal Committee states that "the electoral system in accordance with the new amendments will be in accordance with the system of St. Lego modified by (1.7)", noting that "there are parliamentary blocs proposed to amend the age of the candidate from 30 years to 28 years and the adoption of a bachelor's degree instead of preparatory in Law in force ".
    As for the dates of the elections, MP Zana Said said that "the parliamentary law abolished the special paragraph, which states that the elections to the Iraqi Council of Representatives for its fourth session on the day, date and year 1/5/2014," adding that his committee "only the paragraph that refers to the dates of elections by decision Of the Council of Ministers in coordination with the Electoral Commission and the ratification by Parliament. " 
    The Kurdish MP pointed out that "the dates proposed by the government and the Electoral Commission will leave the matter to the House of Representatives to ratify or change other dates," stressing that "the Legal Committee did not include the dates proposed by the government in the new amendments to the law of elections of the House of Representatives,
    The member of the Legal Committee that "what we put in the new amendments is only the mechanism that talks about setting the dates of the election proposal by the Council of Ministers in coordination with the Electoral Commission and the ratification of the House of Representatives," noting that "this proposal, which was established by the Legal Committee, did not refer to history and today Year and left the decision to the House of Representatives to determine the timing of the elections. " 
    Zana Said stressed that "the weekend session will focus on discussing the dates or postponement of the elections," noting that "the President of the House of Representatives will introduce the election law to vote, but the Legal Committee will object to the fact that it has not completed its review and preparation of the draft final project." He pointed out that "the Legal Committee has taken a decision to continue its meetings to discuss the election law with a member of the Presidency of Parliament."
    In his turn, MP Sadik al-Labban, another member of the Legal Committee, confirmed that "the dates of the elections will be presented for discussion at Thursday's session." He pointed out that his committee "did not guarantee the election dates proposed by the government in the new amendments to the draft law in force." 
    On the possibility of a vote of the House of Representatives on the postponement of the elections, confirms frankincense, in a statement to (range) yesterday, that "the blocs rejecting the postponement and the blocks supporting the elections are nearly two scales of balance," adding that "the next few hours will determine the dates of the elections." 
    The member of the legal committee that "the heads of blocs will discuss, during their meetings on Thursday morning, the center of the issue of postponement of the elections or not," pointing out that "one of the most controversial points on the election law is the attempt of some deputies to include a proposal to prevent dual nationality from participating in the upcoming elections" .
    "The National Alliance believes that the violation of the Constitution is more dangerous than the conduct of elections and miss the opportunity for the electoral environment in some areas," revealing that "the parliament and the government addressed separately the Federal Court on the constitutionality of postponement of the elections," stressing that " definitely".
