Twilight News / Voice of the Iraqi parliament on the absence of the need for special decisions concerning banks operating in the Kurdistan Region.
The Council voted in its meeting today, Monday, on the decision on the need to avoid the need for previous actions on banking transactions with financial institutions in the Kurdistan Region.
He added that the decision came "after achieving the desired goal on the subject of banks."
The Parliament, the Central Bank, is required to submit monthly reports to the Committee on its powers and practices and a role in the preservation of public funds.
The Iraqi parliament voted on the third of last October, on the "formula of a decision to stop financial transactions" with the Kurdistan region in response to a referendum in which the people of the province voted for independence.
Under the resolution, the Central Bank of Iraq told the Kurdistan Regional Government that it would stop selling dollars to the four major Kurdish banks and stop all remittances in foreign currency to the autonomous region.
