    The Ministry of Transport announced on Sunday the completion of the technical and administrative procedures related to the establishment of seven international airports in the provinces in the form of participation and investment with companies specialized in this area, noting that there are discussions with the World Bank to finance projects of the Ministry of Transport strategy, 
    "The airports that will be established in the provinces are Maysan in the district of Al-Batera, Habbaniyah in Anbar province, Al-Kut in Wasit province, Diyala, Babil, Salah al-Din and Kirkuk," the ministry's media director, Laith al-Rubaie, told Al-Sabah newspaper. In addition to the completion and construction of facilities for Nasiriyah International Airport in the province of Dhi Qar, "pointing to" the formation of a committee aimed at standing on the preparations and to direct calls to companies wishing to participate in the investment of those that have been developed in the provinces. "
    Al-Rubaie added that "integrated plans prepared in this regard, in addition to the Ministry and in coordination with the Aviation Authority ended all the technical and administrative procedures related to the location of these airports and the need for construction in the said provinces and according to the density of each of them," noting that " Has expressed its readiness to participate in the establishment of these airports, revealing that the offers are still under study so far. " 
    The Director of Information Ministry said "there are discussions with the World Bank to finance the projects of the Ministry of Transport strategy, especially the establishment of new airports, especially as the air traffic is witnessing a large turnout as a result of the evolution of services provided on the aircraft of Iraqi Airways and the adoption of the latest electronic means in booking systems, These services have contributed to doubling the company's revenues and making them compete with major airlines. "

    The Ministry of Transport has completed the technical and administrative procedures related to the establishment of seven international airports in the provinces in the form of participation and investment with specialized companies in this field, stressing that the Iraqi airspace is currently experiencing a large congestion of transit aircraft. 

    The Ministry of Information Ministry Laith al-Rubaie said in a press statement that the airports to be established in the provinces are 'Maysan in the district of Batera, Habbaniyah in Anbar province, and Kut in Wasit province, Diyala and Babil, Salah al-Din and Kirkuk, in addition to the completion and construction of facilities for Nasiriyah International Airport in the province Dhi Qar, pointing out that a special committee has been formed to determine the preparations and to send invitations to companies wishing to participate in the investment of these airports, which were developed in the provinces.


    He added that "integrated plans prepared for this regard, as well as that the Ministry in coordination with the Aviation Authority has completed all the technical and administrative procedures related to the location of these airports.
