Al-Badairi said in a statement to Al-Maaloumah that "the law of appeal for the benefit of the law allows the public prosecution to open an investigation of the money and land received by MPs and politicians, especially after the State Consultative Council gave the authority the authority to open the investigation."
He added that "the law mentioned a year ago to include it on the agenda of the parliament, but everyone is surprised to withdraw from the table," explaining that "there are deputies benefiting from the contracts and funds of Iraqi banks, where just vote on the law, they will stay in the interrogation rooms."
Al-Badairi stressed that "the law of appeal in favor of the law if it was voted on, it will return the billions that have been stolen since 2006 up," noting that "the law includes four paragraphs, most notably it opens an investigation of funds and land withdrawn and granted to the deputies and officials in the state"
"The law came through the Ministry of Finance, but there is a great media blackout on the said law and the fragmentation of its paragraphs by the presidency of parliament without a convincing reason."
