Iraq nominates a high-ranking Arab medical officer
02/4/2018 12:00 am [rtl] Cairo / Esraa Khalifa Iraq was chosen as part of six Arab countries to form the Higher Committee for Medical Specialties, which will be chosen by its president and its secretary-general in Geneva at the General Assembly meeting of the World Health Organization in June. "Our participation in the meeting hosted by the Arab League yesterday comes to implement the decision of the Council of Arab Ministers of Health, which was held last March in Cairo, which approved at its 14th session the necessity of selecting the supreme body," Health and Environment Minister Adelah Hammoud told Al Sabah. The Board of Medical Studies and the Arab Board, in addition to selecting the head of the executive office and the Secretary General of the Council of Arab Ministers of Health. "Iraq has been chosen among six Arab health ministers represented by this body and these six ministers will be approved at the meeting of the health ministers' council in Geneva as their president," Hammoud said. "Iraq will nominate itself as president of the supreme body. Elections will also be held to elect the secretary general of the board. Arabi".
