(Encyclopedia of this Day News | Iraq News ) - Live: American Petroleum Institute predicted the rise inoil stocks in the US and gasoline last week, referring to the growing pressure on crude prices , despite recent gains.

Oil inventories in the United States rose by 1.8 million barrels in the week ending April 6, the Petroleum Institute said in a statement released Tuesday.

The report also showed that US gasoline stocks rose by about two million barrels in the same period.

The Energy Information Administration is due to announce official data on oil stocks on Wednesday, amid expectations of an increase of about 100,000 barrels.

US crude was up 3.3% at the day's trading, while Brent crude was above $ 71, supported by a decline in trade concerns between Washington and Beijing, and President Donald Trump's decision on Syria.
