    [ltr]Oil prices rose on Wednesday on fears that the United States would impose sanctions on Iran, one of the biggest oil exporters, but increased US supplies limited gains.[/ltr]
    [ltr]As of 0658 GMT, Brent crude futures were trading at $ 73.42 a barrel, up 29 cents, or 0.4 percent, from the last close.[/ltr]
    [ltr]US WTI crude futures rose 45 cents, or 0.7 percent, to $ 67.70 a barrel.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Strong sentiment in the market was also strong in Dubai and Malaysia in April, the highest since November 2014 at 68.27 and 75.70 dollars per barrel, respectively.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Iran, a member of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), recovered as a major oil exporter in January 2016 after lifting international sanctions against Tehran in return for curbing Iran's nuclear program.[/ltr]
    [ltr]But the United States has expressed doubts about Iran's seriousness in imposing restrictions on its nuclear program and threatens US President Donald Trump to reinstate sanctions.[/ltr]
    [ltr]But other factors have prevented crude prices from rising further, such as the dollar's rise since mid-April and an increase in US oil inventories.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Crude inventories rose 3.4 million barrels to 432.575 million barrels in the week ending March 27, according to a report by the US Petroleum Institute on Tuesday.[/ltr]
