The White House announced that a team representing the US authorities would travel to Singapore within days to prepare for a possible summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
The White House said US diplomats would leave for Singapore this weekend.
The former Politico magazine reported that the Washington team would include 30 officials from the White House and the State Department.
In recent days, the US president has made conflicting remarks about the upcoming historic summit with the North Korean leader. He said recently that the meeting will likely take place on schedule on June 12, after the announcement of his cancellation because of Pyongyang's "hostility" toward Washington.Finished[/ltr]
