A spokesman for the family of former US President George HW Bush, 93, said he was taken to a hospital in Maine after suffering a drop in blood pressure and fatigue.
"Bush, the oldest surviving US president, will probably stay under observation in the hospital for a few days," spokesman Jim McGrath wrote in a tweet on Twitter.
