Seoul - The Unification Ministry in Seoul announced the exchange of the two Koreas for the lists of their official delegations at the high-level talks this week as a result of the peace and reconciliation agreement between the leaders of the two countries.
The South Korean delegation consists of five members, headed by Minister of Unity Cho Myung-jaeon, for the meeting on Friday, while North Korea has set up its delegation headed by Re Sun Kwon, chairman of the country's peaceful reunification committee.
South Korean President Mon Jie-nen and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un agreed on Saturday to hold the talks, which Pyongyang postponed indefinitely on May 16, in protest at the annual Seoul-Washington air force exercises.
The two sides plan to discuss ways of enforcing the joint declaration, adopted by the two leaders at their first summit on April 27, at the truce village of Panmunjom in the demilitarized zone separating the two Koreas.
Under the landmark declaration, Moon and Kim agreed to reduce military tensions, strengthen cooperation and seek a peace treaty and "complete nuclear disarmament" on the Korean Peninsula.Ended 29 \[/ltr]
