UAE: Iran adopts a creeping plan in the Arab world seen in Iraq and Lebanon

UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash said Syria's expulsion from the Arab League was wrong, while Iran was trying to create a sphere of influence in Syria as part of a "creeping plan" in the Arab world seen in Iraq and Lebanon.
"This means that we have no political influence at all and no open channel and we have not been able to provide an Arab perspective on how to resolve the Syrian issue," Gargash said. "The decision is the maximum Arab forces that have found themselves excluded from meetings related to Syria."
Gargash added that "allowing Syria to return to the League of Arab States would expose the member states to a dilemma." "We are in a puzzle because returning Syria to the Arab League will create many gaps."
He acknowledged that Syria, which reached its eighth year of civil war, was a diplomatic failure by the international community and the Arab world. "The conflict in which more than 500,000 people have been killed and the displacement of millions is likely to continue, with few good options, .
"Currently, there are countries in Syria in a situation where the support of one party is likely to lead to the sponsorship of terrorist entities," Gargash said, referring to a collusion with a commander who did not mention him for the worst humanitarian crisis in the Arab world.
And the UAE diplomat that the political process will solve the crisis in Syria, noting that the Arab role in reaching a political solution was limited.
The UAE minister said that Iran, Turkey and other non-Arab countries played an increasing role in weakening the Arab role in Syria, saying that Iran had alternative motives.
"Iran is trying to create a sphere of influence in Syria as part of an Iranian geostrategic plan in the Arab world seen in Iraq and Lebanon," he said, adding that the Iranians had tried it in Bahrain and Yemen, according to his tongue.
