    The Ministry of Industry and Minerals confirmed on Saturday its ability to ensure the local market needs local fabrics that enjoy the quality of production, pointing out that it is seeking the approval of the government to prevent the import of fabrics Albaza and raw.
    "The ministry, represented by the General Company for Textiles and Leather Industries, is seeking to obtain the approval of the Economic Affairs Committee of the Council of Ministers and with the approval and support of the Minister of Industry, Eng. Mohamed Shaya Al-Sudani to prevent," the ministry's media director Abdulwahid Al-Shammari said in a statement published by Al-Sabah newspaper. The import of fabrics Albazah and raw white and rough Asmar, because it possesses the potential and expertise to meet the local need of the fabrics mentioned instead of the imported ones that invaded the market, given the increasing demands on this kind of fabrics.
    Al-Shammari explained the preparation of his ministry "a plan to open up the private sector to attract the largest number of companies, factories and factories to encourage them and motivate them to work and joint production," stressing the "importance of promoting the activation of the marketing side of companies by extrapolating the need of the local market and follow innovative and modern methods to put the product in close coordination with Private sector to achieve the goal. "
    Al-Shammari said that "a delegation representing the General Company for Textile and Leather Industries was briefed on a number of shops in Baghdad. The visit resulted in an agreement with merchants, shop owners and shops to conduct visits to the company's factories specialized in textiles, Joint work serving both parties to contribute to meet the requirements of the domestic market and support national production, away from dumping goods of imported products.
