    (Encyclopedia of this Day News | Iraq News ) - Live: increased oil production in the United States over the past week to reach 11 million barrels for the first time ever.

    The US Energy Information Administration said in a statement on Wednesday that the average US oil production rose to 11 million barrels per day in the week ending July 13, the highest level ever.

    Oil production in the United States is close to Russia's 11.1 million barrels per day production as the world's largest crude producer.

    US oil production has stabilized in recent weeks at 10.9 million bpd.

    US oil imports rose 1.635 million barrels per day to 9.1 million bpd last week.

    While US oil exports fell by 566 thousand barrels per day to 1.461 million barrels per day last week.

    The Energy Information Administration has announced a rise in oil inventories in the United States by 5.8 million barrels last week, contrary to analysts' expectations.

    By 4:55 pm GMT, the price of NYMEX crude futures for August delivery rose 0.3 percent to $ 68.27 a barrel.

    Brent crude for September delivery rose 0.9% to $ 72.81 a barrel.
