    The Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed with US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo a number of issues of mutual interest on the regional and international arenas.
    Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense received a telephone call from US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo.

    US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo discussed the situation in Iraq and Syria during a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince. 
    US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo spoke with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the situation in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Yemen, a State Department statement said. 
    The statement added that "Pompeo thanked Bin Salman for Saudi support for the urgent needs for stability in northeastern Syria." 
    He noted that they discussed their support for a ceasefire in Afghanistan during the Eid al-Adha and peace in Afghanistan in general, and also reviewed the work of the United Nations special envoy to resolve the conflict in Yemen and other issues of common concern.
