The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, intends to nominate Majida al-Tamimi to head the parliament, considering it the best among the candidates of the rest of the blocks.
According to Arab media, "Sadr is going to nominate Magda Tamimi for the presidency of the new House of Representatives."
Adding that "the oldest president, Mohamed Zinni will preside over the first session of the new parliament and then open the door to nominate for those wishing to chair the parliament," indicating that "the parties within the list of others and specifically communism and honesty agreed to name Magda Tamimi as its official candidate."
"Tamimi is close to Sadr and he sees the right person to lead the new parliament," she said.
