    An American newspaper reported on Saturday that the United States to pay military reinforcements to the Al-Tanf area on the Iraqi-Syrian border with the aim of closing the strategic area to the crossing of the north, noting that Prime Minister Haider Abadi agreed to grant the United States freedom to redeploy its forces in the desert West.
    "In recent days, the Americans have stepped up reinforcements to the Al-Tanf area (at the border triangle between Iraq, Syria and Jordan), with the aim of closing that strategic area to the Qaim crossing north," the Lebanese daily al-Akhbar said in a report.
    The newspaper added that "the Americans have established since the beginning of 2017 a large military base for them near the crossing of the tunnel, inside the Syrian territory," indicating that "the US forces erected several points on the Iraqi side of the border, to re-capture international routes to and from Iraq (Iraq, Iraq and Jordan), in light of the return of talk about the US security companies that will take control of the international road between Baghdad and Amman, under the pretext of protecting the economic facilities that will be built there.
