Japanese fighters intercept Russian aircraft and escort them over the sea
announced that the Japanese Ministry of Defense, Sunday, reported the interception of the Japanese Air Force fighter Russian aircraft and escorted over the Sea of Japan .
The ministry said four fighter jets flew into the air in response to the flight of two T-142 and Su-24 bombers overboard waters in the Sea of Japan.
According to the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Japan's Self-Defense Forces, the Tu-142 flew to Hokkaido Island and continued along the west coast to the south and circled the archipelago. The Su-24 bomber flew around Honshu Island, the ministry said .
This is not the first time that Japanese aircraft have been accompanied by Russian aircraft. Japanese aircraft from the Russian rocket launcher T2-95S approached the winter when they were patrolling the waters of Japan and the East China Sea.
