Security expert: Security forces have three checkpoints to control the border with Turkey

Observers described the decision of the Iraqi government to control the Iraqi border and document violations in the airspace and land by surprise, especially as it comes after the visit by Abadi to Turkey recently, during which he met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara.
The Ministerial Council for National Security has taken several decisions, among them, to instruct the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to take measures to document the Turkish violations of Iraqi airspace at the United Nations and to return them to the National Security Council, in addition to the deployment of border guards along the Iraqi-Turkish borders to protect the border and prevent any violations. Provide sufficient numbers and supplies for this.
The decision includes Iraqi areas where Turkish forces have existed for years and PKK militants, such as Kandil, Sidkan, Amadi, Barzan, Fesh Khabur and others, as well as more than 330 Iraqi border villages with Turkey.
It is not clear whether an agreement was reached with the Kurdistan region of Iraq on the deployment of federal forces in the border with Turkey and Iran, as Erbil rejected this until recently.
Iraqi security expert Brigadier General Khalil al-Obeidi said Iraqi forces must pass three difficult military checkpoints before imposing their sovereignty on the border with Turkey.
Al-Obeidi said in a press statement that the Peshmerga refuses to enter the Iraqi federal forces to the territory and impose control on the border with Turkey or Iran within the borders of the region, and also there are PKK fighters who occupy large areas in Kandil and Sarmak and Amidi and dozens of villages, Which is deployed within the depth of Iraq at a distance of not less than 30 km in Sedakan, Barzan, Baradust and Basien, all Iraqi towns, except for dozens of other villages.
Al-Obeidi said that if the decision was actually taken, it is either an escalation of danger with Turkey or an agreement on strangling the militants of the "Kurdistan Workers" and pressure on the Kurdistan region of Iraq, considering that the mandate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to record violations of Turkish air and to the UN Security Council means that there is a new crisis Is looming if Iraqi forces advance to those areas.
An official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the decision was made at the meeting and could issue further clarifications from the government in the coming hours.
