North Korea agreed to close its main rocket launch facility at the end of two days of inter-Korean talks in Pyongyang.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un signed an agreement with his southern counterpart, Moon Jae, to close the facility in Tunchang-ri under the supervision of experts.
Kim Jong also expressed willingness to dismantle the country's main nuclear development site in the event of reciprocal measures not specified by the United States.
For his part, South Korean leader Moon Jai said the two countries agreed to turn the Korean Peninsula into a zone of peace free from nuclear weapons and nuclear threats.
