    Kuwait has taken a new decision on its political relationship with Iran, after years of its diplomatic representation with Tehran.
    Kuwait's Foreign Ministry has approved the adoption of a new ambassador to Iran, replacing its last ambassador, Ali Annayati.

    The Kuwaiti decision is the first step in the way of the return of relations between the two countries.

    The new newspaper, the newspaper "Al- Jarida " learned from its sources in the new Iranian Foreign Ministry that the new ambassador is Mohammad Irani.
    He currently serves as director general of the Middle East and North Africa at the Iranian Foreign Ministry and served as ambassador to Jordan and Lebanon.
    As for the second step expected for the return of relations officially between the two countries, the Assistant Foreign Minister for Asia, Ali Al-Saeed, said that Kuwait does not agree to send an ambassador to Tehran "until Iran changes its approach by concrete steps," according to Kuwaiti opinion .
    Al-Saeed added that the return of the Kuwaiti ambassador is also dependent on "the steps and practical initiatives that Iran should take toward its relations with the Gulf states."
    Relations between Kuwait and Iran have been strained by an issue between the two countries, prompting Kuwait to withdraw its ambassador to Tehran in 2016, after the UAE and Bahrain, following attacks on Saudi diplomatic missions in Iran.
