The MP for the alliance of Fatah Hassan Shaker al-Kaabi, Friday, that Iraq will not be silent on foreign interference in its affairs, as it will form a parliamentary delegation to stop the Turkish military operations in the north of the country, noting that the failure to stop operations leads Iraq to resort to the United Nations to take necessary measures against Turkey.
"Iraq has independent sovereignty and is not linked to any country in the world. There is no sovereignty of the world except for the United Nations, considering that Iraq can resort to it in its international and regional problems," al-Kaabi said in a statement.
He added that "Iraq does not accept Turkish interference in its internal affairs, in addition to the parliament categorically rejects this intervention, as the Turkish parliament authorized the government of Erdogan to continue military operations in northern Iraq."
He added that he would raise the issue of Turkish intervention and the extension of its operations in northern Iraq in order to resolve the issue, as well as work to form a parliamentary delegation of government to engage with Turkey on its interference in Iraq and the deployment of troops at the border.
"If Turkey does not respond to the dialogue and refuses to stop its operations in Iraq, Baghdad will resort to the United Nations to intervene and stop these operations," he said.
He pointed out that "Turkey has no justification for military operations in northern Iraq," stressing the need for the government to deploy additional troops at the border to prevent the infiltration of terrorists and avoid the occurrence of Turkish military operations inside Iraq. End 25 n
