Prime Minister Haider al-Abbadi, the pursuit of continuing political alliances, as revealed to raise the federal budget for the year 2019 to the House of Representatives next week.
"We welcome the completion of the election of the President of the Republic and the appointment of Mr. Adel Abdul Mahdi to form the next government, and we hope that the aspirations of the Iraqi people will be realized," Abadi said at the weekly press conference. "We directed our office to help complete its mission so that there would be a quick transition to power and the government would proceed with its work."
He added that "the current government continues to carry out its responsibilities and duties to the fullest until the last day of its lifetime," noting that "we held a meeting to consider the financial budget for the year 2019 for the purpose of arranging and configuration and during the next week will be submitted to the House of Representatives."
"We discussed during the meeting of the Ministerial Council on National Security to maintain security and stability and thwart attempts by terrorists, as well as plans to confront the organized crime gangs, where many criminal networks have been arrested carrying out assassinations," Abadi said. "He said.
He pointed out that "the government's smooth and easy transition misses the opportunity for terrorism to exploit any vacuum, and we will continue our work in the service of citizens, political work does not end the office and we can serve citizens either in the office or outside it is important to serve the citizens and the country and any location."
