On Saturday, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) renewed its adherence to the post of governor of Kirkuk, refusing to conclude any political deal to appoint a governor through political consensus.
"The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) has the constitutional right to appoint a governor instead of the current acting governor, Rakan al-Jubouri."
Abdullah added that "the Union achieved the highest results in local and parliamentary elections in Kirkuk and the central government to re-normalize the situation in the province and consider the deployment of troops from the popular crowd and the federal police."
Abdullah said that "the candidate of the Union for the post of governor is Razzkar Ali and in case of incompatibility will be replaced," refusing to "conclude any political deal to install a proxy in a consensual manner without the National Union." Ending / 25 d
