Two Iranian ministers join the resignations in a Rohani government

The Iranian presidency announced that President Hassan Rowhani agreed to the resignation of Industry Ministers Mohammad Shariatmadari and Transport Abbas Akhondi.
The presidency said on its website on Saturday that Rohani agreed to the resignation of Shariatmadari and Akhundi, praising the "dedicated services" and "sincere efforts" they had made during their tenure.
Ayn Rouhani Assistant Minister of Industry Rida Rahmani successor to Shariatmadari, and Governor of Mazandaran Mohammed Islami succeeding Achondi at the head of the Ministry of Transport.
According to media reports, the two ministers submitted their resignation more than a month ago when parliament was preparing to put confidence in them.
Rumors circulated in mid-September that Shariatmadari had submitted his resignation, but his ministry was quick to deny it.
But Akhundi published his resignation letter on Saturday, citing the reason for his resignation as "differences of opinion and views" that did not clarify their nature.

Rowhani and his government are under increasing pressure from deputies who blame them for their handling of the country's economic crisis. In August, the pressure ousted two other members of a spiritual government, the Labor and Economy Ministers, from which the parliament withdrew confidence.
