The Teachers' Union deplores subjecting the Ministry of Education to quotas

The Iraqi Teachers Syndicate denounced the exposure and subordination of the Ministry of Education to the party quotas, deviating entirely from the educational reality.
The union secretary Uday al-Issawi said in a statement that "singling out the decision and moving away from the masses and their institutions is a bad beginning, by importing a minister from outside the ministry of 650,000 members, a decision to destroy the ministry and eliminate government education."
Al-Issawi called on the prime minister to "choose a minister of education in partnership with it being the core of its work to be a minister among the professional competencies working within the ministry's staff and also call the political blocs to give the future of the country and the future of its children to narrow private interests."
