Abdul Mahdi, a US official: can not find alternatives to Iranian gas and electricity

Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi told US Ambassador to Baghdad Douglas Suleiman that he was unable to find a replacement for Iranian gas and electricity at the moment.
The Saudi newspaper Okaz quoted sources as saying that Iraqi personalities suggested to Abdul Mahdi to go to Washington to meet Trump to prevent a disaster in Iraq if the 45-day deadline granted by Washington to Baghdad to stop the import of electricity from Iran
The newspaper said, according to sources, that Abdul-Mahdi began to seriously consider the request to meet Trump for an exception to continue to import gas and electricity from Tehran
She pointed out that Abdul-Mahdi talked a long time with the US ambassador in Baghdad Douglas Suleiman and told him that can not find gas and electricity for Iran in a short time, warning that Iraq will enter into a real disaster after a deadline.
Washington has excluded Iraq and eight other countries from its second round of oil exports to Iran.
