Melanie Trump of her husband asked US President Donald Trump on Tuesday to dismiss a White House national security adviser, Richard Bolton, in a new move that reflects conflicts within the presidency.
The president's wife's request is for the help of White House national security adviser Mira Ricardle. "Our position is that it is no longer worth working in the White House," spokeswoman Trifani Grisham said in a statement.
On the other hand, the presidency denied the dismissal of Ricardale, which newspapers say has been criticized by the president's aides since her trip to Africa in early October.
The newspaper "Wall Street Journal" quoted sources familiar with the problem, that it is a "place on the plane and requests to use resources allocated to the National Security Council."
The First Lady's team also suspects that Ricardale is the source of "negative accounts" of the First Lady and her assistants.
The media say the debate over this responsibility reflects the divisions among the various currents within the White House, where rumors have been circulating about the departure of officials since the decision to sack Justice Minister Jeff Sessions last week.
Bolton is a neo-conservative and a leader of the hard-line Trump wing of the Republican Party, which advocates unilateralism.
