Ministry of Planning: Unemployment reached 13% after it was 10% before 2014The Ministry of Planning announced on Thursday the high unemployment rate in the country in recent years.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Planning Abdul-Zahra al-Hindawi told a press briefing "Al-Nour News" that "unemployment rates have seen a rise in recent years affected by security and economic conditions, noting that" the latest statistics indicate that unemployment rates reached 13% after 10% before 2014 "He said.
Hindawi said that "government treatments for the phenomenon of unemployment are taking two tracks first through the launch of reconstruction projects liberated cities and will provide employment opportunities and the second through activating partnership with the private sector."
"In addition to the preparation of the five-year development plan 2018-2022, which aims to reduce the unemployment rate of one decimal point to reach 5 or 6% at the end of the plan."
