Iraqi Prime Minister, Adel Abdul Mahdi, threatened to resign from his post in the event that the political blocs insisted on sticking to candidates for vacant ministries.
Sources in the Iraqi parliament that Abdul Mahdi threatened to resign through a letter addressed to the political blocs competing for the posts of the remaining ministries, including security.
The sources said that Abdul Mahdi sent an oral message to the political forces, in which he threatened to resign in the absence of the introduction of controls, which he put to choose candidates for the ministry vacant.
Observers believe that the government of Abdul Mahdi is worried and unstable, warning that his resignation will lead to a severe crisis in the shadow of a large schism in the political arena.
The large pressure exerted by the Iraqi parties on the prime minister to choose the personalities of the vacant ministerial portfolios, without being able to complete the formation of the government, made him sign a resignation from his post.
The resignation of Abdul Mahdi, if it occurs, may lead to a ministerial crisis in the country, and returns to the political process to square one.
Abdul Mahdi is in a difficult position, on the one hand demands the completion of the ministerial formation, and on the other hand receiving some of the parties, which you think they have taken away their ministerial share, Jam anger at the prime minister and the cabinet in general.
The National Wisdom Movement has sharply criticized Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, accusing him of succumbing to the blackmail of political figures by appointing ministers suspected of corruption in his cabinet.
Abdul Mahdi is trying to keep the ministers who started their work, at the very least, threatened to reveal what is going on in the scenes of the Iraqi street of pressure and political blackmail on the resolution of the remaining ministries.

The writer and political analyst, Basil al-Kazemi, believes that Abdul-Mahdi is in a difficult position, because of the accusations of seizing the oppressive and partisan, which prevailed 15 years ago in Iraq.
Al-Kazemni said that the Iraqi political blocs are subject to double standards. On the one hand, it says that Abdul-Mahdi is the one who chooses ministers. On the other hand, some names are imposed on Abdul-Mahdi, as happened with the interior and defense ministries.
Kadhimi said that Abdul Mahdi threatens to resign to pressure the political blocs to make concessions, and that in the event of resignation, the political process will return to square one.
