The UN Security Council adopts a resolution on Sweden's understandings on Yemen

The United Nations Security Council on Saturday unanimously adopted a draft resolution submitted by Britain on Yemen that provides for the deployment of international observers in the city of Hodeidah.
The UN Security Council mandated UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterich to send an initial 30-day team to Hodeidah to begin monitoring, supporting and operating the armistice agreement reached during Sweden's consultations last week.
The UN Security Council resolution did not include accountability for the perpetrators of violations in Yemen because of US intransigence and determination to remove them from the draft resolution.Ending / 25
