TEHRAN: Our forces are in a state of alert despite their departure from Iraq

Iran's ambassador to Iraq, Iraj Masjedi, said on Saturday that relations between Tehran and Baghdad would grow at various levels, adding that his country's forces were in a state of alert despite its withdrawal from Iraq.
"Iran's vision of Iraq is not based on sectarian and partisan criteria, but on a humanitarian, Islamic and brotherly character," Masjedi said in a speech to a number of professors and students of the National Defense University in Baghdad.
He pointed out that the Iranian forces, despite their exit from Iraq is still on alert and will resume fighting terrorism when required.
