    The Ministry of Communications announced on Saturday the opening of cooperation with Syria in the field of communications and information technology and facing the electronic challenges of electronic warfare and rumors.
    "The ministry has opened the door for joint cooperation with Syria in order to face the electronic challenges of electronic warfare and rumors, especially that Iraq and Syria were exposed during the few years," said Amir al-Bayati, the senior agent for technical affairs in the ministry.     Al-Bayati said that "the ministry is working on exchanging Iraqi-Syrian expertise specialized in the field of communications and information technology in coordination with the Syrian Ministry of Communications to implement joint projects in this regard."
    He revealed that "there is an intention to invest the Australian expertise in a number of important projects represented by the Iraqi satellite project and the bank account (electronic payment) and projects of rehabilitation of optical cable and the construction of housing units for the ministry employees and postal and banking services and the establishment of a cultural center in each governorate and headquarters of the Communication Club, Infrastructure and others.
