    Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi announced Islamabad's agreement to offer Russian mediation in settling the crisis with India.
    Qureshi said in response to his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, on Thursday, expressing Moscow's readiness to provide a negotiating ground for India and Pakistan if they wished to do so.
    Qureshi said: "Lavrov offer mediation. I do not know what about India, but I want to tell Russia that Pakistan is ready to sit down at the negotiating table to ease tensions. "
    Earlier, Moscow had expressed its deep concern about the exchange of air raids between India and Pakistan on Wednesday, expressing the hope of a quick truce between the parties.
