(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The Iraqi reconstruction conference for Egyptian companies opened Sunday in Baghdad.
Trade Minister Mohammad Hashim al-Ani said that the Arab Republic of Egypt is one of the first countries to participate in the reconstruction of Iraq.
This came in a speech delivered by the economic agent of the Ministry of Commerce Haitham Jameel Al-Khashali on behalf of the Minister during the opening of the conference which was held at Salahuddin Hall at the Palestine Hotel in Baghdad.
"The Iraqi government is keen to review the construction of its economic format to achieve the private sector a leading role for the Iraqi economy, while the government sought to create an investment climate that meets the requirements of investors Foreign and domestic in various fields and give facilities and guarantees to them regardless of the nationality of the investor. "
He pointed out that "Iraq enjoys abundant resources represented by oil reserves, natural gas and possession of two rivers, all of which qualify it to be a basket of food in the Arab world, stressing the provision of security and stability in our dear country and after the great victories were achieved by defeating gangs, A kiss for many investors to step up rebuilding Iraq. "
"The Egyptian companies to take their role and be present in the reconstruction and investment and take advantage of investment opportunities in all provinces of Iraq to achieve common goals between the two countries."
The conference was attended by the Chairman of the Investment Authority Sami Al-Araji and the President of the Reconstruction Fund of Iraq Mustafa Al-Hiti and a number of Directors General of the Ministry of Commerce and members of the Egyptian embassy as well as businessmen, finance and investors of both countries and representatives of the Ministry of Oil, Electricity, Transport and Communications.
