Iran confirmed on Saturday that it supports Iraq's independence and territorial integrity.
"Iran supports the independence, territorial integrity and political stability of Iraq," said a representative of the Iranian parliament speaker, Boroujerdi, at a conference of parliaments of neighboring countries in Baghdad.
He added that "the Revolutionary Guard is a pioneer of the path of resistance against terrorism in the region, represented by the Mujahedeen of the creation and the farewell."
"Our forces have been in the fight against terrorism for years," Boroujerdi said. "We still face the Dahesh ideology and the circumstances that led to the emergence of the most dangerous terrorist organization."
